We are often asked by our clients, ‘When is a roll off roll skip the right choice?’. Let’s get to the bottom of whether this option would suit your project with this blog!
When it comes to large-scale waste removal, standard skips sometimes just aren’t enough. For major clearances, demolition jobs, or sites with ongoing waste production, a larger, more efficient solution is needed, which is where Roll On Roll Off (RORO) skips come in.
At Morley Skips, we offer hassle-free RORO skip hire across Essex and Suffolk, helping domestic, commercial and industrial customers manage bulky, high-volume waste with ease. But how do you know if a RORO container is the right fit for your project? This blog breaks it all down.
A RORO (Roll On Roll Off) skip is a large container designed for high volumes of lightweight or bulky waste. Unlike traditional skips, which are lifted onto lorries, RORO skips are rolled on and off specialised vehicles, making them ideal for sites that need to handle substantial amounts of waste efficiently.
We offer two main RORO skip sizes at Morley Skips:
We can also accommodate hazardous waste within these containers, such as asbestos, but please let us know beforehand.
Here are some examples for when is a roll on roll off skip the right choice:
You’re Working on a Big Project
If your project generates a large amount of waste, like a full property renovation, demolition, or new build; a RORO will help you manage waste efficiently without constant skip exchanges.
You’re Dealing with Bulky or Lightweight Waste
RORO containers are perfect for furniture, packaging materials, timber, metal and other large, awkward waste items that take up space fast.
You Want to Reduce Disruption
Fewer skip exchanges mean less disruption to your site and fewer visits from waste vehicles. That makes for a safer, more streamlined working environment.
You Need a Cost-Effective Waste Solution
Larger capacity means more value. A single RORO container can often replace multiple standard skips, saving time and money in the long run.
