Cement Board Disposal

Corrugated fibre cement boards or sheets look exactly like Asbestos. Though they are not harmful, we have to haul and dispose of them in exactly the same way as we would dispose of asbestos sheets. We take the safety and wellbeing of our staff extremely seriously, so any waste thought to be asbestos, or contaminated with asbestos, requires us to dispose of the entire skip or container as an asbestos skip.

How Our Asbestos Disposal Service Works

When you discover asbestos, we understand that you will want to be rid of it quickly. We can provide an immediate response, delivering a suitable skip to your site within 48 hours. We also offer a next-day skip delivery service.

Once you have booked with us, our team will deliver your skip or RORO container to your site.

We will also supply compliant wrap liners that must be fitted into your skip or container before filling it with asbestos. The hazardous material should not exceed the fill line indicated.

When all the asbestos has been loaded; contaminated items such as gloves, masks and overalls should also be disposed of into the skip or container. This should then be wrapped before calling us to arrange collection.

Our experts will arrive at your site and safely collect the wrapped skip or container and take it to a licensed site where it will be disposed of correctly.

Please note – we do not currently offer an asbestos removal service; however, we work with several specialist removal firms that we can recommend to you during your consultation if needed.

FAQs

We do not carry out the actual removal of asbestos from where it is located, but we can put you in contact with specialists who do. We provide the skips into which hazardous waste removal experts can put the unwanted materials. Once loaded, we will then transport these skips to sites where the waste can either be processed or disposed of.
No. Due to the hazardous nature of asbestos, it must be disposed of separately and should never be put in a general waste skip.
If a skip you hire from us for general waste is found to contain asbestos, you will be charged an additional disposal fee, per tonne. This is to protect our staff and to cover the extra work we will need to do to ensure the contents of your skip are disposed of correctly, in line with government legislation.

No. Though it is not harmful, it must be disposed of as though it is asbestos. To protect our staff and cover our costs, any waste thought to be asbestos or to be contaminated by asbestos, must be hauled and disposed of in the same way as asbestos would.
