When waste arrives at our recycling centre, any obvious non-recyclable items are taken out before moving the remaining materials to the processing area to go through the following steps:
Mechanical sorting: Waste passes through a trommel; a rotating drum that sifts finer particles from larger materials.
Manual sorting: Our team of experienced pickers carefully separate recyclable materials, including cardboard, plastic, metal and wood.
Further processing: Any remaining materials are refined to remove contaminants and prepare them for reuse.
At Morley Skips we are fully licensed to collect and dispose of hazardous and contaminated waste, including fridges/freezers, paint tins, oil drums, gas bottles and Japanese Knotweed.
